Seein' the Grand'folks

Dear Henry,

This weekend you went visitin' to your grandparents...except for Grandpa Tim, he is still in Florida but may be up in a month or so. Since we had the rented van one more day we drove over to Columbus to check on Great Grandma Hazel because she has been pretty sick. Of course a little visit with you lifted her spirits a bit so the drive was well worth it. Grandma La Jean was super happy to see you and babbled and played with you as much as possible. You made lots of noises with her and to her pleasure you stayed awake the entire time.

Then we went by Crappaw and Grandma P's and we measured you on your measurin' stick again. You look like you think you're going to fly if you flap your arms enough, it is gonna be hard getting all 12lbs 22.5" off the ground though.

They scoffed at my suggestion that they don't ask us over. I snapped the photo below just seconds after the words, "You never invite us over," came out of my mouth.

Of course I was kidding, since you came the Thompson's are a hot commodity. I don't fool myself into think it has anything to do with wanting to see us though.
Inspired by the Cubbies game, Crappaw "played" baseball with you for the first time but he was leary of runnin' the bases with you because you're still so little.

Boxing seemed a little easier because you already like to keep your hands in fists.
It was a quick but nice relaxing visit.

So happy you have so many people that love you.
Love, Mommy
