Ortner Visit

Dear Henry,

Just when you thought just about everyone has met you that could possibly meet you the Ortner Clan came to town from Toledo. Five kid-lets, a mom and a dad, Great Grandma Hazel, and Grandma LaJean came to visit on Saturday.









They did the obligatory ooh's and ahh's, held and cuddled you and had some pizza. It was a fast visit as they were returning to Toledo the next day. It was fun to see the kids and to have the extra hands around for a while. The kids drew all over the driveway with chalk and I couldn't help but think how I can't wait for you to be big enough to do the same.



I love seeing the drawings as I drive up. It was good to see everyone as it can sometimes be a long time between visits with everyone working and the distance. Someday you will be excited to see them as there will be no shortage of energetic playmates. The boys will be just old enough to teach you how to get into some trouble. :)

Saturday was so beautiful that after the Ortners and Great Grandma and Grandma La Jean left Mommy and Daddy took you for a walk around the block. We decided you are ready to face frontwards in the Baby Bjourn. You love the wind on your face but after about half a block you couldn't keep from turning your head to look into Daddy's eyes so we turned you back to Daddy's chest. This seemed to make you happier and Daddy didn't mind that you wanted to be closer to him one bit.






Today at 10:54 pm you are 7 weeks old. The Independent Adoption Agency does their final follow up visit today. :)
