Dear Henry,
This past weekend was very special, but then every weekend and every day for that matter is special with you. This was the first time Grandma La Jean has been able to come spend the night with you! She has been busy helpin' Great Grandma Hazel get on the mend so she hasn't been able to come and get lots of time with you. Because Daddy's van has been out of commission since you were 5 weeks old, you haven't been able to go and see her in C-town either. What a major bummer! This weekend she helped you get your bath, eat, burp, go to sleep, read a book, talk, laugh and get lots of cuddles.
We met Auntie Kristin at the Farmer's Market and we all had breakfast together at the Village Deli on Kirkwood. Mommy washed dishes there while in college. Daddy had 14" blueberry pancakes. I swear Henry, you could have used those pancakes as a blanket!
We walked around the market and bought some cheese then came back to our house. Later, we went to dinner at the hibachi grill. It was delicious, but you were scared at the chef clankin' around the spatulas. You were just on the edge of sleep and he started cookin' and clank, clank, chick, clank. You wailed until he stopped, you don't like sharp sounds like that.
Sunday morning before Grandma LaJean had to return back to C-town she held you. talked with you for a bit, and then said her goodbyes.
I'm so glad that you were able to spend some quality time with Grandma LaJean, she sure does love you.
Love, Mo
