Aunties Come to Play

Dear Henry,
We got a call this weekend that your aunties wanted to come and play and bring you gifts.  Mommy thought what could be better and said, "Come on over."
They bought you your very own copy of And Tango Makes Three, the true story of two papa Chinstrap Penguins that adopt an egg, Tango, and raise her together.  We promptly read it together after your aunties left and you hung on every word.  It has become apparent that all of the reading Daddy and Mommy has been doing since the first night we brought you home is paying off.  I love seeing you love books and was so excited to have And Tango Makes Three in our collection.
Back to the aunties... so...
On a recent trip to Florida and Disney they bought you a little Ewok.  It is cute and looks a little like you with it's chicklet teeth.  So soft and cuddly.  Auntie Carrie hooked your fishing pole on it and dangled it in front of you watching you stretch your baby to toddler arms to try and snatch it back.  This sounds like I'm saying she was being cruel but in reality you love to try to get stuff we try to keep away.  We also had to show them how protective you are of Daddy.  Mommy discovered the other day that if I attach the fishing pole hook to Papa's shoe you FREAK.  You yell, "NO!"  When I start pulling the line and Daddy feigns upset and horror at the predicament you ran to Papa's feet and go to work releasing him from the confinement.

You did it again when Auntie Krispy did the same thing.  What could be sweeter?!   You love your Daddy!
They played animals with you, flew you around in your cape and rolled the ball around.  Happy to have your aunts over to play.  I hope they come more often for some time with you.
Nothing more special than being an aunt, expect being your mommy.
Love, Mommy
