Fight for Your Right to Vote!

Dear Hazelrelli,
Today was the day to vote!  Your first presidential election; Barack Obama vs Mitt Romney.  Henry was born just after President Obama was elected.  This was an exciting turn in our nation as there was high voter turn out and Obama was/is our first bi-racial, non-white president....ever.  Yep, well we still haven't had a women.  I hope in your lifetime this changes.  Right now the polls are just now closing and they are reporting that there is a higher Latino voter turn out then in the past.  We hope to teach you the importance of using your voice for good and considering the possible needs for all different types of people, as well as  the gift and responsibility that exercising your civic duty and voting is.
As I was voting.
All done!
In 2032 you will be a part of the Latino vote in our nation...you will be 20 years old!  Daddy and I will be 58.  I hope that we share that day together.  (Sure you could be living somewhere else but your butt better be in college! but your vote will still be here.)  We shared today together.  You were snug against my body dressed in a blue dress with little stars and a cute white collar.  Henry, who was playing at Bahboo and Grandma P's, calls this dress your Lady President dress.  Love you Lady Pres.
Love, Mama.
